Epcot: What’s Worth It?

Epcot: What’s Worth It?

Next to Magic Kingdom, Epcot is my favorite park. If you think about it, it shouldn’t be that big of a shock because I love food.  Besides all the food, you might not have known that Epcot is very educational in the subjects of conservation, food production, and technology. So for families that are trying to get a little education out of their trip, Epcot is a great spot for you. For those of you who are just obsessed with food like I am, it’s also the place for you.

One of the best events at Disney World happens at Epcot: the Food and Wine Festival. I’m not going to center this post around that however, because it is only a limited time out of the year. Even without all the festivals that Epcot is home to, there are many options for an awesome time at this park.

Like before, this list is my personal favorites of what I think is totally worth the time and money.

Via Napoli

This may be my favorite restaurant on the entire Disney property. Located in Italy, Via Napoli is home to the best pizza I’ve ever eaten, as well as this little dish called Arancini.  Arancini is fried ricotta and mozzarella cheese balls served on top of a meat ragu. When I go to Via Napoli, I don’t get too adventurous with my pizza because I want to experience the classic Italian flavors. The most I’ll get on my ‘za is pepperoni, or spicy Italian sausage.

La Cantina de San Angel

On the other side of the world, or World Showcase, is the beautiful Mexico. This country is very special to me because it is home to two of my very favorite things: queso, and margarita’s. (Yes, more cheese.) This quick service place, La Cantina de San Angel has the best Mexican street food you’ll find in Orlando. My personal favorite is the Empanadas con Queso. I think of these as miniature, deep fried, cheese quesadillas. They come with cheese sprinkled on top, and Mexican slaw on the side. Order a fresh lime margarita and you’re set.

This is how happy Epcot makes me.

The Seas with Nemo and Friends

Hop onto this ride and you might think it’s just another childish story time attraction. However, it is more than it seems. First of all, even if it were to just be another story time attraction, the story of Finding Nemo is at this point a classic. As you glide through the sea in your Clamobile, your favorite characters, like Dory, Marlin, and yes, even Bruce, will tell you the story of Nemo. At the end of the ride you emerge into Disney’s very own aquarium! There are tanks filled with dolphins, fish, sharks, sting rays, and 2 beautiful sea turtles.
