What is Liv Happy Liv Well?
Today marks my 2 year blogging anniversary, and 2nd birthday of Liv Happy Liv Well. This is a milestone I’m very proud to hit. In my younger years of life I wasn’t really good at sticking to things. I chalk it up to my mindset that made me want to quit – constantly comparing myself to those deemed “better” than me.
In my 2 years of building this brand I’ve taken several breaks. Life gets busy – I moved to Florida and back, started 2 new jobs, found my dream apartment, and started living the life I was destined for. All of that is true, but as I’m reflecting on my 2019 it sounds more like excuses. I wasn’t willing to put the work into this blog. My 2 year anniversary promise, and I suppose 2020 resolution, is to be fully committed to Liv Happy Liv Well.
As a sort of rebirth I want to revisit what “Liv Happy Liv Well” means to me. My hope is that you’ll find your own meaning, too.
LHLW
“I cover a whole host of topics using my online platform, but ultimately they boil down to one thing: these are the elements of my life, and I want to do them well. The posts demonstrate how I am growing and learning, and I want them to grow and encourage other women too.”
Girl Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis
Everything I’ve written in the past 2 years has been me. The clothes I wear, the food I cook, the makeup I love. I’m proud of every single post on this site; if I wasn’t it wouldn’t still be visible. However, I want to be even more real with you all. LHLW isn’t just makeup and fashion. Let’s break it down.
Liv Happy
Living happy – life in general isn’t always happy. We experience loss, defeat, rejection, or sometimes we cry for days and don’t even know why. Keeping all those things in mind, how can I help? That’s what a blog is after all, a resource. Liv Happy is how I can bring a little sunshine to the darkness: a delicious recipe you won’t feel guilty eating, a makeup trick or product that will make you feel beautiful, a little backstory that shows you you’re not alone.
Liv Well
Living well – I know I’m not the only one who doesn’t always stay on track. My core belief is that taking care of yourself first will make any situation easier. Living Well is ultimately living your best life. Maybe I have some tips that will make that seem more attainable. A quick workout that will make you drip sweat, a guide to how I treat my anxiety, how to make to do lists you’ll actually stick to.
Life is all about balance. In my world it breaks down into 2 things: Liv Happy and Liv Well. Eating ice cream makes me very happy. Running keeps me well. (I’m also one of those crazy people who running makes happy too.) We don’t need to have it together 100% of the time, we just need to know how to get back on track.
