Brand Spotlight: Gypset

Brand Spotlight: Gypset

For those of you who follow me on social media, you may have noticed a new brand popping up on my feed. In the past month, I’ve attended 2 events for the unique, and local Orlando brand: Gypset.

While I could attempt to sum up what this brand really is, I think they do it best:

Hand crafted jewelry for the gypsies and the jet set. A company devoted to changing things up, meeting people where they are and making everyone look good in the process.

While Gypset does have a storefront location now, they started in a trailer and would pop up outside restaurants and other shops. Each piece Sam, the owner, designs is 100% unique and made from high quality materials. They source gemstones and metals from across the globe and with their Etsy shop can bring you your new favorite piece from wherever you are.

Take a look at my 2 encounters with Gypset, and don’t forget to show them some love on Instagram!

Gypset x Tommy Hilfiger

I got invited to this event just 2 days before it was to happen. I’m so honored that Sam reached out to me and allowed me to experience the newly renovated Tommy Hilfiger store and an amazing jewelry making workshop. I was happy to learn more about Sam and her brand, as well as how they create their pieces.

Finding inspiration at the Gypset x Tommy Hilfiger workshop.

Sam brought in trays of unique beads and allowed each of us to come up with our own creation. Not surprisingly as soon as I saw the denim blue beads in the tray I knew I wanted them to be the star of the show. I wanted a bracelet that would go with everything I wear, but different from the usual black, silver, or gold jewelry I am usually seen wearing. This bracelet is a perfect representation of me and three weeks later I’m still swooning over the excitement of the event.

Gypset Turns 2!

While at the Tommy Hilfiger event, Sam mentioned to save the date for Gypset’s second birthday party. I was intrigued as soon as she mentioned it and as the day grew closer and more sneak peeks were put on social media I couldn’t wait for the day to come. This event was open to the public, not just “influential Floridians,” but I felt so welcomed by the Gypset team.

They rented out the back parking lot of The Guesthouse downtown Orlando. (A super cool spot if you’re ever in the area!) Gypset had their original trailer as their pop up shop, Dahlia’s Flower Truck made an appearance for a BYOB: build your own bouquet experience, and there was a bar trailer where you could get anything from White Claw’s to margaritas.

What made me smile the most at this event was the amount of women that showed up to support local businesses. We were all women supporting women, and taking candid photos for each other, and complimenting each other’s outfits. I wish every moment felt as empowering as the ones I witnessed at the party.

As for the merchandise, I did not leave disappointed. I bought another bracelet to compliment the one I made, along with a fabulous gold choker that you won’t find at any fast fashion store. I also (finally) built my own bouquet after months of following Dahlia’s Flower Truck on Instagram. It really is as magical as it looks.

Straight out of Gypsy heaven.

It truly seems that everything Gypset touches does turn to gold. I can’t wait to support this business more in the future. I cannot say this enough: go check out their Etsy shop! You will love the high quality and uniqueness of their products, I just know it. Congratulations to Sam and the rest of the Gypset team on turning 2! I can’t wait to see all that happens for you in the future!
