Olivia’s Favorites: January 2023

Something I’ve always wanted to do, but have never been able to keep up with is monthly favorites. I do a lot of shopping & get quite a few PR packages so I feel like I’m always trying something new. I want this series to be a place where I can share my holy grail products and finds. Feel free to drop a comment letting me know things you’re looking for or specific products you want me to try out!

January Favorites

Necessaire Body Wash

I was always curious if there was a difference between high end body washes and your run-of-the-mill drugstore body washes. Turns out there is. I have been trying to incorporate more “clean” beauty products into my routine, and the Necessaire Body Wash comes highly recommended. During the Sephora sale I used my 15% off to test this one out. It’s INCREDIBLE – hence why it’s included in my favorites. You don’t need a ton of product to get a good lather, the eucalyptus scent is dreamy, and it leaves my skin feeling buttery soft. I don’t think I’ll be going back to the drugstore on this one.

Woman Code

To say this book changed my life is an understatement. I have a blog post coming with more detail, but for the past few months I’ve been “cycle syncing” my workouts & meals. This book taught me so much about the female body, my cycle, my hormones – and I’ve seen such amazing results. I didn’t learn any of this stuff going through high school health classes, and I’m so glad I took the time to educate myself. If you are a woman I highly recommend this book. You just might learn something.

Nurse Jamie Triangle

It’s no secret I love skincare. This tool takes my skincare obsession to a new level. Think of this as a super fancy gua sha. It has 2 different heat settings (normal and warm) and it vibrates as you drag it across your skin. This tool helps serums and moisturizers absorb into the skin, and restores glow & firmness into your skin. I always notice reduced inflammation as well after use. I use this tool before bed after my nightly skincare routine. It’s pricey, but worth it!

Notion

I’ve always loved journals & planners. Something about a fresh notebook with a cute design just lifts my spirits. Well, I’ve found a digital organizing tool that has changed my life. Notion is the ultimate productivity tool. It combines to do lists, calendars, Kanban boards, notes and tables all in one place. I primarily use Notion for planning my blog & social content, but I also use it to track my fitness progress, wedding planning, vacations, & schedule for the week. I honestly can’t live without it. It takes awhile to get used to, but once you have the hang of it it’s very easy to customize and make your own.

Dry Bar rollers + Revlon Hair Brush

I hate doing my hair. It’s why I have long hair, so I can throw it into a braid and have it look presentable in under a minute. But, I think I’ve finally found a method that is easy and makes my hair look fabulous. I have naturally kinky hair, so air drying isn’t really an option. After a shower I use the Revlon Hair Dryer & Styling Brush to smooth & dry. Then I will use my Dry Bar rollers on the top and front layers of my hair. I leave these in for about 30 minutes because I’m all about the volume! This process takes me about 30 minutes in itself and leaves me with a beautiful blow out!
